This Privacy Policy explains what information Simfile collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Simfile, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

• Account information - email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed) when you register.
• File and usage data - files you upload, folder organization, and activity such as uploads, downloads, and searches.
• Download and fraud-prevention data - IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), and device/browser signals for downloads on your links, used to determine which downloads are valid and to detect abuse.
• Payout information - bank account or e-wallet details you add to receive payouts.
• Communications - messages you send us, e.g. for support.

• To operate the service - hosting your files, serving downloads, and calculating earnings.
• To detect and prevent fraud, such as self-downloads or automated abuse of the download-counting system.
• To process payouts to the account or e-wallet you provide.
• To communicate with you about your account, downloads, or payouts.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including responding to abuse or legal requests.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the service against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). We don't use these cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• payment and payout processors, to the extent needed to send you a payout;
• service providers who help us run the platform (e.g. hosting, storage), under confidentiality obligations; and
• authorities, when required by law or to respond to a valid legal request such as a DMCA notice - see our DMCA policy.

We keep your account and file data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a file or close your account, we remove the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep records (e.g. for financial or legal purposes).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and encrypted storage of sensitive payout credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

You can update your account details and payout information at any time from your dashboard. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, contact us at contact@simfile.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where required by law.

Simfile isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
